Ingredients:
For the Crust:
200g chocolate cookie crumbs
100g melted butter
For the Filling:
200g dark chocolate, chopped
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Prepare the Crust:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 23 cm (9-inch) pie dish. Bake for 10 minutes and cool.
Prepare the Filling:
Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until just simmering. Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir until smooth.
Whisk in sugar, eggs, chili powder, and cinnamon until well combined.
Bake the Pie:
Pour filling into the cooled crust and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until set but slightly jiggly in the center. Cool completely.
Prepare Whipped Cream:
Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Spread over the cooled pie.
Serve:
Garnish with a sprinkle of chili powder or chocolate shavings, if desired.
